Gold Dragonborn are the rarest variation of the race, only born once every 300 years on average, and are seen as a good omen for the clan in the Deadlands; a sign of upcoming prosperity or period of safety from outside threats. Physically a Gold Dragonborn has an average height and weight of 5'10" and 260 pounds respectively. They are capable of breathing a cone of sunlight and are resistant to fire damage.
Gold Dragonborn Racial Traits
- Ability Score Racial Traits: Gold Dragonborn are renowned for their wisdom and resilience but lack the physical deftness of some of their smaller siblings. They gain +2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom, and -2 Dexterity.

- Type: Gold Dragonborn are Humanoids with the Draconic subtype.
- Base Speed: Gold Dragonborn have a base speed of 30 feet.
- Languages: Gold Dragonborn's native language is Draconic.
- Draconic Resistances: Gold Dragonborn are immune to sleep effects and gain +2 racial bonus to saving throws against paralysis.
- Energy Resistance: Gold Dragonborn possess 5 points of energy resistance against fire damage.
- Natural Armor: Gold Dragonborn thick scales give them +2 natural armor bonus.
- Balanced: Gold Dragonborn have an easier time staying balanced due to their tail, granting a +2 racial bonus on Acrobatics check made to maintain balance.
- Bite: Gold Dragonborn possess a natural bite attack dealing 1d6 points of damage.
- Breath Weapon (Su): Two times per day, Gold Dragonborn can breathe a 15-ft. long cone of golden sunlight dealing 1d6 points of damage, half the damage is fire damage, but the other half results directly from divine power and is therefore not subject to being reduced by resistance to fire-based attacks. This damage increases by 1d6 for every two levels beyond 1st that the Gold Dragonborn achieves. Affected creatures suffer half damage on a successful Reflex saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 character level + Con modifier). Creatures that are damaged or destroyed by sunlight also become staggered for 1 round upon failing their saving throw.

Gold Dragonborn Alternate Racial Traits
- Alternate Natural Attack: Some Dragonborn are more inclined to fight with other natural weapons instead of their jaws. Select either claws (1d4 damage each) or tail slap (1d6 damage) and gain that natural attack instead of a natural bite attack. This racial trait modifies Bite.
- Runner: All Dragonborn naturally have strong legs but some are born especially light and quick on their feet. Your base speed is 35 feet instead of 30 but your Natural Armor trait only grants a +1 natural armor bonus. This racial trait modifies Base Speed and Natural Armor.
Gold Dragonborn Favored Class Bonuses
- Cleric: Add +1/3 to the amount of damage dealt or damage healed when the cleric uses channel energy or add a +1/4 bonus on caster level checks to remove afflictions (curses, diseases, poisons, etc.).
- Inquisitor: Add one spell known from the inquisitor’s spell list. This spell must be at least one level below the highest-level spell the inquisitor can cast.
- Monk: Add +1/3 to the monk’s AC bonus class ability.
- Oracle: Add +1/4 to the armor or natural armor bonus granted by oracle spells she casts on herself.
- Paladin: Add 1/4 to the deflection bonus granted by your smite evil ability.
- Warpriest: Add ¼ to the warpriest’s effective level when determining the damage of his sacred weapon.
