Effective Rests

MistveilRules → Effective Rests
When players take a long rest of at least eight hours, they restore hit points and ability damage once per day. The amount of hit points healed is equal to the character’s total level plus their constitution modifier for a normal rest and 1 point of ability damage. The character heals twice their level plus their constitution modifier and 2 points ability score damage during a comfortable rest. A comfortable rest would be staying in a warm inn or sleeping in a comfortable bed.

In addition a character with the Endurance feat counts normal rests as comfortable rests.

Reasoning: Resting in pathfinder only restores a small amount of hit points, likely to emulate the fact that resting restores fatigue quickly but wounds slowly. However I have found that restoring so few hit points per rest just encourages parties to rest for several days in a row or, when resting in a dangerous location, feel like it wasn't worth the risk for so little recovery in return. Hit points are abstract enough that I see no issue with rests restoring more HP while at the same time making a common feat more desirable.
